While one Florida businessman plans a no-minimum-bid auction on Saturday to unload his mega mansion before it’s foreclosed on, others are hoping for success via more traditional methods. Here’s a look at what happened this week in high-end real estate news:

Jill Zarin of the the reality television show “The Real Housewives of New York City” lists her Upper East Side apartment for $3.2 million. The 1,956-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. (New York Post)

The former San Fancisco estate of the “King of Torts,” Melvin Belli, lists at $39.5 million, about six times the sale price in 1992. The 1922 brick Tudor Revival has six bedrooms, five bathrooms and two powder rooms in about 11,000 square feet and is set on an unusually wide 80-foot lot in the Pacific Heights neighborhood. The four-story home also includes a heated outdoor pool, a spa, a four-car garage and views of San Francisco Bay. The current owner is a San Francisco businesswoman who bought the property in 1992 for about $6.5 million. Photos/WSJ

Mike Korchinsky, a businessman in Stinson Beach, Calif., offers a wildlife preserve in southeastern Kenya for $10 million. Located about 93 miles west of the coastal city of Mombasa, the preserve measures 74,490 acres, or about 116 square miles) and is sandwiched between two national parks. Home to 53 large mammal species including elephants, lions, buffalo and giraffes, the preserve also includes three airstrips and a small eco-tourism lodge. Photos/WSJ

The Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade announces the listing of his Florida home via Twitter. The asking price is $3.3 million. (Zillow)

Los Angeles Police Chief William J. Bratton lists his one-story home for $1.875 million. Built in 1964, the 2,716-square-foot gated home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It also has vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, a pool and city views. Mr. Bratton paid $1.244 million in 2003. (Los Angeles Times)

Producer and writer Gary David Goldberg sells his Los Angeles-area estate for $15.15 million. Built in 1942 and designed by Paul Williams, the 6,908-square-foot home has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Located on about three acres, the two-story house has a pool, a pool house, seven fireplaces, a media room, a library, a wine cellar and a two-bedroom staff wing. It was originally listed in January for $19.995 million. (Los Angeles Times)

The Manhattan home of Marisa Noel Brown, the daughter of Walter Noel, whose Connecticut hedge fund funneled a great deal of money to Madoff, goes into contract for $9.75 million. The home on the Upper East Side measures 7,800 square feet. It hit the market in May with an asking price of $12 million. (The Real Deal)

In what local brokers say is the island’s biggest sale so far this year, an unfinished waterfront home on Nantucket, Mass., has sold for $13 million to a limited liability concern managed by Robert L. Reynolds, the president and chief executive of Putnam Investments. The sellers were Melanie Sabelhaus, who was the deputy administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration from 2002 to 2005, and her husband Robert Sabelhaus. The shingled exterior of the 8,400-square-foot home is complete. It was sold as a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home. Photos/WSJ

A Georgian-style mansion with thirteen rooms on New  York’s Upper East Side sells for $32 million, which is one-third less than the original listing price of $45 million last fall. (The Real Deal)
