In the spirit of the nightly U.K. newscasts that painstakingly review the next day’s newspaper front pages, here’s a quick take on Wednesday’s papers, all of which front the Tuesday night arrival of President Obama. Many note the diplomatic and security force the president brought with him. The Daily Mail splits the president’s arrival — “The Obama’s drop in (with a team of 500 in tow)” — with news that Treasury Chief Alistair Darling (who greeted President Obama at the airport) has scrapped a business tax. “Obama flies in to fortress London,” says the Times.
